The Here And Now Film Accelerator
A 12-Week Online Mentorship for Filmmakers
Personally Mentored by Aakash Prabhakar
12 Weeks • One Film
Price - ₹ 40,000
The Philosophy
Every filmmaker remembers the film that changed everything.
For some, it was the first film they ever finished.
Not because it was perfect.
Because it proved they could.
The Here And Now Film Accelerator exists for one purpose —
to help you make that film.
Not another unfinished screenplay. Not another folder full of ideas.
Not another year saying, "one day."
Beginning, and learning by doing, over and over — that's where careers begin.
The Format
This is not a filmmaking course.
It's a working studio.
A place where films get made.
For twelve weeks, you'll work directly with filmmaker and actor Aakash Prabhakar — to develop, write, prepare, produce and finish your first independent film.
Every decision.
Every obstacle.
Every milestone.
You'll have someone who's already walked the path.
The Journey
01
Weeks 1–2
Writing a Film You Can Actually Make
Every great independent film begins with a simple idea.
The challenge isn't finding inspiration.
The challenge is finding an idea that can become a finished film.
Over the first two weeks, we'll help you discover the story you genuinely want to tell — and more importantly, the one you can realistically make.
You'll learn one of the most valuable lessons in independent filmmaking:
Restrictions don't limit creativity. They shape it.
Instead of writing the film you wish you had ten crores to make, you'll learn how to write the strongest possible film with the resources available to you.
Together, we'll develop your screenplay through multiple drafts until it is ready for production.
During these two weeks, you'll work on
—Discovering stories worth telling
—Understanding theme, character and conflict
—Building compelling characters
—Writing visually instead of relying on dialogue
—Rewriting with clarity and purpose
—Developing a screenplay that's ready to move into pre-production
—Finding your unique voice as a filmmaker
—Writing memorable, emotionally truthful scenes
—Learning screenplay structure
—Receiving detailed script feedback
—Writing with budget, locations and production realities in mind
Outcome
A production-ready screenplay.
02
Weeks 3–5
Pre-Production
This is where your screenplay becomes a plan.
Most first-time filmmakers underestimate pre-production.
Professionals know it's where films are won.
You'll learn how to prepare your project with the same discipline used on professional productions — without losing the spontaneity that makes independent cinema so exciting.
We'll break the film down scene by scene, create a realistic budget, build your crew, cast your actors and prepare every detail before the first day of shooting.
You'll work on
—Script breakdowns
—Production scheduling
—Auditions and rehearsals
—Building your crew
—Legal paperwork and permissions
—Funding strategies
—Budgeting
—Casting actors
—Finding locations
—Equipment planning
—Pitching your project
—Producing your film within realistic constraints
Outcome
A complete production plan and the confidence to begin shooting.
03
Weeks 6–9
Production
This is where ideas become reality.
You'll begin principal photography while continuing to receive mentorship throughout the process.
Every filmmaker encounters unexpected problems on set.The difference isn't avoiding them.
It's learning how to solve them creatively.
We'll review footage, troubleshoot challenges, discuss performances, and help you make confident creative decisions while your film is still being made.
You'll work on
—Directing actors
—Cinematography
—Production management
—Reviewing footage
—Staying on schedule and on budget
—Blocking scenes
—Working with your crew
—Solving on-set challenges
—Making creative decisions under pressure
Outcome
A completed principal photography schedule and footage ready for post-production.
04
